Ruggable for Cats: Identify the Rug Before Cleaning

Ruggable has a collection page aimed at cat households. For cleaning, the more useful reference is its care guide: identify whether your item is an All-in-One Rug or a 2-Piece Rug System before lifting it for a wash.

The guide distinguishes washing the entire all-in-one rug from washing only the removable cover of a two-piece system. A separate rug pad stays out of the washing machine. Check the exact item and its current instructions instead of choosing a wash routine from the cat collection label alone.

Give the separate pad its own cleaning step

Ruggable instructs owners to spot-clean its rug pad with mild soap and water, then let it air-dry completely. The hard floor underneath must also be dry before the pad goes back down.

If your rug has a removable cover, keep track of the cover and pad as separate pieces during cleanup. The maker’s pad instructions are a care procedure; they do not establish that every cat-related mark or smell will disappear.

Clean PopsyKosy tiles by hand

PopsyKosy’s care page calls for mild soap, water and a soft cloth. Remove soap residue with a clean damp cloth, and let the tiles and the underlying floor dry fully before reassembly. Its instructions direct hand cleaning rather than machine washing.

In a room containing both surfaces, finish each item using its own maker’s directions. A washable rug cover does not make the nearby tiles machine washable, and tile-cleaning instructions do not replace the rug’s care label.
