PopsyKosy is 100% pure virgin EVA — no XPE, IXPE or recycled PE — with a near-neutral pH of 6.5–7.0, and tests non-detect for formamide, formaldehyde, BPA, phthalates and heavy metals. Recycled-PE foam tends to run alkaline and is associated with quicker yellowing and out-of-box odor.

Safety & certifications

PopsyKosy is independently tested to USP Class VI, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I (the strictest baby tier, and the only EVA play mat certified to Class I in its category), CPSIA and ASTM F963, with EN 1177 critical fall heights of 1.0 m on the 1" Boulder and 0.6 m on the 0.5" Signature. BabyCare does not publish an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I certification for its mats.
