PopsyKosy Warranty: Three Tiers of Coverage
PopsyKosy offers more warranty coverage than any other EVA play mat brand: 30-day satisfaction guarantee, 2-year manufacturing defect warranty, and lifetime protection on the USFDA-registered antimicrobial coating. Below is the full breakdown.
The three tiers

What counts as a "manufacturing defect"
Covered (we replace at no cost):
- Single-piece separation — won't happen on single-piece molded construction, but if any layer separates, covered
- TPU top film bubbling, peeling, or delaminating
- EVA core compression beyond normal use (e.g., permanent depression where mat held weight ≤ 100 lb)
- Antiviral coating failure — independent test showing < 50% retention vs original spec
- Print fading from normal indoor use (not direct sunlight exposure or hot-yoga heat)
- Edge curling within 2 years — should not happen on single-piece, but if it does, covered
- Hardware/foam separation — should not happen at all (no hardware), but covered if any seam-like defect appears
What is NOT covered
- Damage from pets that chew the mat — TPU is anti-scratch, not chew-proof. Puppies under 12 months that actively chew everything will damage TPU. See pet use guide.
- Cut/sliced damage from sharp objects (knives, scissors, dropped tools)
- Heat damage — placement near radiators, fireplaces, or in vehicles parked in direct summer sun. EVA softens above ~35°C / 95°F.
- Damage from prohibited cleaning products — bleach, full-strength vinegar, solvents (acetone, mineral spirits), steam cleaners. See care instructions for the full prohibited list.
- Aesthetic preferences after the 30-day window — "I changed my mind about the color" doesn't qualify after day 30.
- Normal wear from intended use — minor cosmetic surface marks from daily toddler activity
- Damage during return shipping — happens rarely; resolve via the return shipping insurance claim
How to make a warranty claim
- Email hello@popsykosy.com with subject "Warranty Claim — Order #[number]"
- Include: order number, photos of the defect, brief description of how it appeared (gradual wear vs sudden failure)
- We respond within 24h (Mon-Fri) with assessment
- If qualifying defect: replacement mat shipped within 5-7 business days (no return of original required for most defects)
- If not qualifying: we explain why, offer Heritage Trade-In if appropriate, or refer to other paths
The antimicrobial lifetime guarantee — what that means
The USFDA-registered antiviral coating (Registration #3010700940, JM-TTA01 material) is bonded at the molecular level to the TPU surface. Independent ISO 18184 testing shows 95%+ retention after 900 wash cycles — well beyond any home cleaning routine.
If your mat's antimicrobial coating ever fails — independent test or our internal verification showing < 50% efficacy — we replace it. Lifetime coverage. Yours, not the next owner's.
Heritage Trade-In (not a warranty, but related)
If you want to upgrade to a larger or thicker mat after 30 days but before the 2-year defect window, the Heritage Trade-In program may apply. You send photo proof of your existing PopsyKosy, we apply a credit toward a new mat purchase. Email hello@popsykosy.com to evaluate.
FAQs
Is the warranty transferable if I sell or give away the mat?
The 30-day satisfaction guarantee applies to the original buyer. The 2-year defect warranty + lifetime antimicrobial guarantee apply to the original buyer only (not transferable). Resale buyers don't have warranty claims through PopsyKosy.
How do I prove my mat is a manufacturing defect vs normal wear?
Photo. We review per-claim. Common test: if defect appeared gradually over time with active use, it's wear. If defect appeared suddenly without specific abuse event, it's likely defect. We default to favoring the customer in ambiguous cases.
Do I have to return the defective mat?
Usually no. For most defects, we ship replacement immediately and don't require return of the original (saves shipping + creates less waste). For high-value claims (full mat replacement on suspect-fraud cases), we may request return for inspection.
What if my mat is fine but I want to upgrade?
That's Heritage Trade-In, not warranty. Email us with both order numbers. We apply credit. Multi-child households often go from a 6×8 ft starter to a 10×12 ft Boulder via trade-in.
What happens if PopsyKosy goes out of business?
Warranty is backed by Evercrest LLC (Delaware US-domiciled). If the company dissolves, residual product warranty obligations transfer to a successor entity per US LLC dissolution law. Realistic answer: 2-year warranty across a 5+ year product lifetime is a meaningful insurance window.
Are claims handled by Amazon (since you ship via MCF) or by PopsyKosy directly?
PopsyKosy directly. Amazon MCF handles shipping logistics + delivery insurance only. Product warranty claims route to hello@popsykosy.com, not Amazon customer service.
