PopsyKosy Storage: Fold vs Roll

PopsyKosy Storage: Fold vs Roll

Storing your PopsyKosy when not in use? Folding and rolling have different implications. Here's the right way.

Roll for Long-Term Storage (Recommended)

Rolling (TPU surface inside, EVA outside) avoids permanent crease memory. The roll diameter is ~12 inches for 0.5" or ~18 inches for 1". Roll stands upright in a closet corner or stores on a shelf.

Fold for Short-Term / Travel

Folding along the engineered crease lines is fine for 24-72 hour periods. Creases flatten within 24h after unfolding. Don't store folded for >1 month — creases can become semi-permanent.

Never Stack Weight on Folded Mat

Don't stack heavy objects on top of a folded mat (e.g., books, suitcases). The added pressure deepens crease memory.

Climate Considerations

Store in a climate-controlled space (not garage, not attic). Avoid prolonged exposure to >100°F or <0°F. Humid storage is fine for TPU but limit prolonged exposure.

FAQs

My mat has a permanent crease from being folded too long. Can I fix it?

Lay flat with light weights along the crease for 48-72 hours. Most creases relax. Severe creases (>1mm depth) are warranty-replaceable within 5 years.

Can I leave it rolled for years?

Yes — rolled is the most stable long-term storage. Year-stored rolled mats unfold flat within hours.

Roll for long-term storage. Fold OK for short-term. Never stack weight on folded mats.
