PopsyKosy Cleaning Protocol: The Deep-Dive Guide

Daily, weekly, and deep-clean protocols for keeping PopsyKosy looking new for 5+ years. Tested across thousands of household configurations.

Daily (60 Seconds)

Damp microfiber wipe of high-traffic zone. No soap needed for routine wipe-down.

Weekly (5 Minutes)

Full mat wipe-down with diluted Castile soap (1 tbsp per quart water). Rinse with damp clean microfiber. Air dry 10 minutes before resuming use.

Monthly Deep-Clean (15 Minutes)

Lift mat. Vacuum subfloor underneath. Wipe both mat surfaces with diluted vinegar (1:10 white vinegar:water) for sanitization. Rinse with damp microfiber. Air dry 30 minutes.

Stain-Specific Protocols

Milk / formula spit-up: Wipe within 2 hours with damp microfiber.
Juice / berry stain: Damp microfiber + dab of Castile soap, work in circular motion, rinse.
Crayon / marker: Magic Eraser works (test on edge first). Avoid solvents.
Urine (potty-training accident): Wipe immediately with paper towel, then damp microfiber + diluted Castile soap. No staining if cleaned within 1 hour.
Sticky food (peanut butter, hummus): Wipe with damp microfiber + dab of Castile soap. Don't let dry on surface.
Pet accident: Same as urine protocol + enzymatic cleaner if odor persists.

What NOT to Use

Never: bleach (degrades TPU), ammonia (degrades TPU), steam cleaner (heat-damages lamination), solvents (acetone, paint thinner — destroys TPU surface), abrasive scrubbers (Brillo, steel wool — scratches surface).
