Medical-grade EVA carbon intensity: approximately 3-4 kg CO2e per kg of finished EVA. A 71×79" 0.5" mat is ~6.5 kg = ~25 kg CO2e in materials. Plus ~5 kg shipping CO2e USA. Total per-mat footprint: ~30 kg CO2e.

Context: 5-Year Lifespan

If the mat lasts 5 years (warranty period, typical real-world is 7-10): ~6 kg CO2e per year of use. For comparison, a single round-trip transcontinental flight per person is ~700 kg CO2e.

Heritage Trade-In Closed-Loop

Our trade-in program recovers EVA at end-of-use and either refurbishes or recycles back into our supply chain. Eliminates landfill destination.

Where We're Honestly Not Best-in-Class

Shipping from Taiwan to USA via container ship adds ~5 kg CO2e per mat. Domestic-manufactured alternatives would have lower shipping footprint. We chose Taiwan for material quality; this is a real tradeoff.

2027 target: carbon-neutral certification via offset program + bio-based EVA feedstock pilot. We won't claim carbon neutral before it's actually documented.
