"Non-toxic" is one of the most overused phrases in baby-product marketing. To verify the claim, look for: (1) formaldehyde test results from an ISO 17025 lab, (2) full CPSIA Children's Product Certificate, (3) third-party VOC off-gassing data, and (4) a statement of polymer grade — generic "EVA" is industrial; "USP Class VI–tested" or "USP Class VI" is the high bar.
PopsyKosy publishes all four. Most competitors publish one or two.
