EVA vs PEVA

PEVA is sometimes marketed as "EVA-equivalent" — particularly in lower-priced shower curtains and yoga mats. The chemistry is close but not identical: PEVA blends polyethylene into the EVA matrix to lower cost, which makes the chemical profile harder to verify and certify.

The USP Class VI–tested EVA PopsyKosy uses is pure ethylene-vinyl acetate — single-source resin with traceable supply chain. We don't substitute PEVA, even though it would cut material cost meaningfully.

Don’t take any brand’s word for it. See how to verify a play mat’s material and safety claims yourself — including how to confirm an OEKO-TEX certificate and ask for a USP Class VI report.
