Most play mats are a single sheet of foam stamped with a printed top. PopsyKosy isn't. Every mat is a precision-engineered 5-layer build where each layer does one job, and the layers work together to give you a surface that stays soft, looks new for years, and stays safe even after the worst toddler accidents.

Layer 1 — EVA top film (the part you see)

The visible top is genuine EVA, not the cheaper PEVA used by some competitors. EVA is non-porous, so spills sit on the surface and wipe off without staining. The print on this layer is sealed under a clear EVA topcoat using benzene-free, zero-VOC adhesive — the print can't peel, fade, or rub off onto skin. OEKO-TEX Class I certified at this layer.

Layer 2 — TPU protective skin

A thin thermoplastic polyurethane layer adds water resistance and keeps the EVA above it stable under weight. TPU is the same material used in high-end medical equipment covers and waterproof athletic gear — flexible, tough, and chemically inert.

Layer 3 — Air cushion

A precision-engineered air gap distributes impact across the mat instead of concentrating it where a baby lands. This is the layer that turns a fall from a crawling position into a soft landing instead of a thud. It's also the reason our mats stay quiet — no hard echo when toys hit the floor.

Layer 4 — High-density EVA core

The structural core of every tile. We use closed-cell, high-density EVA foam — the same density spec as commercial gym flooring. It's why our 12 mm and 25 mm mats keep their shape under a stroller's wheel weight, where cheaper foam mats compress permanently.

Layer 5 — EVA grip base

The bottom layer is textured EVA designed to grip hardwood, tile, and low-pile carpet without leaving rubber-mark residue. No silicone backing (which yellows and sticks), no PVC dots (which leave marks). Just precision-textured EVA that stays put and lifts cleanly when you move it.
